Birthdays only happen once a year and they are a big deal – especially if you are still a kid. You get to have a feast with all your favorite food and get gifts. Children who come from divorced families may even have two birthdays in a year.

And this was the case for Kelsey Frederick. But on her 13th birthday, the usually smooth arrangement turned out into a nightmare. Her first makeover turned into a disaster and she had her Dad to blame.
