What is a cama, you may ask? Well, a cama is the offspring of a llama and a one-humped camel. This first cama was created back in January 1998 at the Camel Reproduction Centre in Dubai through artificial insemination.

Researchers wanted to create an animal that would produce more wool than the regular llama while having the size, strength, and cooperative temperament of a camel. The cama is also similar to camels in that they can survive with little to no water for a long time.
