Kidman and Urban met during the 2005 annual G’Day LA event. When Kidman first interacted with Urban, she was attracted to him right away. However, she did not act on the attraction because she was unsure if Urban felt the same way towards her.

In an interview with Ellen, Kidman shared that she felt like Urban did not notice her so she did not believe it was love at first sight meeting. But Urban denied this and said that he was attracted to her but he was just holding back.
