Dream, one of Carnival’s cruise ships, made headlines in 2013 when it malfunction and had to dock at St. Maarten. Passengers aboard reported that the cruise ship had lost power and all the toilets aboard were malfunctioning, to the point that human waste was overflowing on the bathrooms and nearby areas.

And the worst part about it? The passengers were not allowed to leave the ship even though they could not use the bathrooms! Carnival denied the allegations but they were arranging flights for all 4,300 passengers back to Florida. Those who paid for a 7-day vacation will receive a refund equivalent to a 3-day cruise and a 50% discount on any cruise with them in the future.
