Avoiding debt

My wages took a nosedive when I was made redundant in my job not once but twice. I worry that it will happen again. I no longer had extra money and I had to alter old dresses than buy new ones. I also stopped going on vacations.

I still had my credit card but I only use it if I know that I can pay it off within the week. As much as possible, I avoided having debt of any kind. If I know I can’t afford something, I don’t plan on buying it. I honestly feel restricted and trapped in some way.
