The Lake Palace

The Jag Niwas, or the Lake Palace, has been around since the 1740s. It is constructed in the center of Lake Pichola and its foundation spans four acres. The white palace looks like it comes out of a fairy tale.

The walls are constructed of marble. There are fountains, gardens, and pillared terraces inside it. Famous guests that have stayed in its premises include Queen Elizabeth II, Jackie Kennedy, and the King of Nepal.
