Bank of England, 2006
Back on February 22, 2006, armed robbers dressed up as police officers to the manager of a Bank of England, while another team took his wife and their son. According to The Telegraph, the robbers forced the manager to open the door to the depot in Kent.
The depot’s employees were tied up and in just an hour, the robbers loaded up a truck with hundreds of thousands of cash. They reported stole more than £53 million in cash. Some of the money was recovered, but unfortunately, as of 2016, £32 million remained unaccounted for.
