Just as the doctors had suspected, Amber was fighting more battles than her sister. Unfortunately, she still had difficulty in breathing and this was something that needed a solution ASAP. Tracy felt so helpless as the doctors gathered around her baby and sent her to the operating room.

Amber required tracheotomy. Because of all the fluid build-up in her lungs and a blockage that did not allow her to breathe on her own, the doctors had no choice but to do this. Thankfully, the procedure worked wonders for her and she could now breathe, but the problem was, she could no longer use her vocal cords. She was going to grow up mute.
