Tracy barely went up to the attic, too. They only used it for storage, so unless she was looking for something, there was no reason for her to go up there. If she didn’t go, and the kids didn’t go, then who was responsible for those noises?

Maybe at this point you’re wondering why Tracy did not seem terrified of the creepy noises she had started hearing or why she hadn’t investigated further. Tracy hadn’t said it out loud, but she had theories for these strange noises.

Maybe An Animal

One day, when Tracy was cleaning up, she began to notice something even more unusual about the noises she had been hearing. Wherever she moved, the noise also followed her. The only reason she could come up with was that an animal was in the attic.

Her assumption was that it could either be an opossum or a raccoon. If so, she needed to call animal control for it. Unfortunately, it was a weekend and offices were closed so she would need to wait until Monday.
