David Marshall Coulthard has driven started his F1 career with Williams. He later switched to McLaren then Red Bull. Although he never got a WDC title, he was consistently ending with podium finishes and in places not lower than fifth, which was very impressive.

After retiring from Formula One, Coulthard continued to work with the Red Bull team as a consultant. He later joined BBC as a Formula One commentator and analyst. Mercedes got Coulthard as a brand ambassador and he was involved in the development of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
