Sunken Camera Has Sea Creatures Living In It but the Photos It Captured Were More Valuable

A research expedition

It all started when a team of divers from Simon Fraser University’s Marine Ecology Department in British Columbia, Canada, conducted a research dive off the coast of Bamfield, near Vancouver Island in May 2014.

The team started with a goal in mind – to study the many species of starfish that were thriving in the area. They wanted to observe the starfish in their natural environment and later compare them to the starfish in their lab.
