Vikings may be conscious about their personal hygiene but we do not know if we can say the same for their dental hygiene. Back in 2009, archaeologists discovered Viking skulls that had teeth with meticulous carvings on them.

The archaeologists who discovered them still had to confirm how the Vikings managed to carve and file their teeth in their time. But they have concluded that these markings were a symbol for warriors and that they were done to scare off enemies.
