The Queen of England Is Richer than You Think – Check Out Some of Her Valuable Assets

The UK Continental Shelf (UKCS)

The UKCS refers to the waters that surround the UK – the English Channel, the North Atlantic, the Irish Sea, and the North Sea. All the water rights are owned by the crown, making it Queen Elizabeth II’s most valuable natural resource.

The UKCS has a huge amount of oil and gas reserves. It has been owned by the Crown for generations. The BEIS Oil and Gas Authority is in charge of giving licenses to oil companies and they are only allowed to drill in very specific areas.
