The 1997 Titanic movie was truly iconic and made a lot of people fall in love with the character Leonardo DiCaprio played – Jack Dawson. Although the sinking of the Titanic was real, not everything in the movie was real and Jack Dawson was just a fictional character.

However, some confusion began when a grave labeled J. Dawson was found in the Fairview Cemetery. The cemetery had 121 Titanic victims buried there. The discovery made fans believe that Jack Dawson was real. However, the film crew dismissed it as a coincidence. The man buried in the cemetery is actually a “Joseph Dawson” who was an engine room trimmer of the Titanic.
