This creepy photo shows two Soviet scientists in full protective suits in a safehouse for chemical weapons during the Cold War in the 1960s. The general public was already paranoid enough about the idea of a nuclear war igniting at any given time between the Soviet Union and the United States, so it’s good that the US government never let this photo leak to the public, because it would’ve surely caused mass panic to anyone who stumbled across it.
