The Fat Man

“The Fat Man” was the codename for the nuclear bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki during World War II on August 9, 1945. It was the second of just two nuclear weapons that have ever been used in the history of warfare. The first was codenamed “The Little Boy,” and together they killed as many as 200,000 Japanese civilians. This image is an important piece of history to learn about so that we can make sure that these atrocities are never committed again!
