Idaho
Idaho has a poverty rate of 11.2%. The state mainly leans on agriculture and has potatoes as its dominant crop. But despite having agriculture industries raking in billions of dollars each year, the majority of Idaho’s residents are not involved in agriculture, forestry, fishing, or farming. People working in these areas come from other states.
Aside from that, Idaho’s minimum wage is set at $7.25, definitely one of the lowest in America. It does not help that housing prices in Idaho have increased thanks to non-residents moving into the state.
