Over recent years, Vermont has seen an ageing labour force. They want to balance this out, so they have set up a special programme with the goal of enticing younger workers. In 2019, Vermont’s Department of Economic Development launched the Remote Worker Grant Program. It pays people the generous sum of up to $10,000 over a two year period if they move to Vermont.

When the program used all of its funds, Vermont launched the New Worker Relocation Grant Program. In order to qualify, you need to become a full-time resident there, work at a Vermont business, and be earning at least minimum wage. It is accessible to anyone who fulfils that criteria and applications can be done online.
