As of 2019, the city of Lincoln, Kansas only has 1,266 residents. With the intention of increasing these numbers, Lincoln is offering free land to those looking to build a new home. The City Council aims to create a new subdivision near a baseball field, city park, high school, and more.

This isn’t the first time Lincoln has done this either. Back in 2004, the City Council gave free land to 21 applicants. If you are qualified, you can receive lots between 14,000 and 35,000 sq. ft. The only catch is that you have to buy your own home.
