The city of Baltimore, Maryland, encourages people to relocate there twice a year, but they do this differently, and with the help of the lottery. The programme, called Buying into Baltimore, gives $5,000 to prospective home-owners every spring/summer and winter/autumn.

In order to apply, homeowners must attend a Trolley Tour event in the city. They must then apply for the incentive and within ten days of the tour, 20 lucky lottery winners will receive $5,000 towards their new home. The mortgage for the house cannot be over the price of $517,000, and those who are successful must purchase a house no more than 60 days after the lottery winners have been announced. If you enter, you’ll get a Baltimore tour and money towards a rented or purchased home!
