It all started when George’s best friend, Cory, had to go on a work trip for several weeks out of the country. He could not bring his Doberman, Rex, with him. Rex had a regular dog sitter that Cory could depend on but the sitter also was out of town for a family emergency.

Corey said Rex could probably sense that Zoey was not comfortable around him so he acts like a guard dog around her to win her over. When Zoey heard this, it made sense. After all, it really looked like Rex was just watching over her.
