Upon arriving home, Amanda discovered that her landlord had evicted her and her son. She was about to face a difficult court case in order to settle the dispute. She repeatedly explained to the judge that she had been struggling a lot financially, despite the fact that she was working hard.

The courthouse was in a very built up and busy area, so it was impossible to find a parking space in the vicinity. Consequently, she was forced to park further away, in an area where there were no parking signs. She left her car there and hoped for the best. When she arrived back at the car later on, yet another parking ticket awaited her. What had she done to deserve this? Not only did she have to pay all of these fines, but she also had to pay for her father’s funeral and somehow come up with enough money to pay for a new apartment.
