This Popular Airbnb Is A Cave House In the Middle of Nowhere

Falling in love with the desert

Grant loved the environment in Moab, Utah, and how isolated it was. Everything just seemed so far away. He loved it so much that he decided to buy a plot of land nearby in 1980. After looking, he decided to go for 40 acres of untouched land on the outskirts of Boulder.

Given that his land was on the outskirts of Boulder, he was two hours away from civilization. The untouched land was not accessible to the highway and there was no road going there. Grant barely saw people in the area.
