For years, Christians have flocked to Israel for pilgrimage as it houses some of the holiest sites in Christianity. The most important of which can be found in its capital, Jerusalem – the tomb of Jesus Christ.

This is the place where Jesus’ body was laid in after he died on the cross. The tomb at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is considered to be the most widely accepted burial site of Jesus to date.
