Angelina Jolie was raised in California by her brother. After living with her mother from 1976 to 1976, the family moved to New York where they stayed for five years. Then they returned to LA. She was keen to act and enrolled at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. She studied for two years, and she made several stage appearances. Jolie attended Beverly Hills High School, where she felt she wasn’t at home.
