Amadeus (1984) is widely regarded to be one of the most important films in cinematic history. The film, which followed Mozart’s life, received 53 nominations for awards and won 40. Amadeus was well-planned and featured beautiful costumes, excellent production design, and exquisite music.

The movie kept a lot of the historical details intact, but the costume department was unable to capture one detail. Zippers are used to attach the dancers to their costumes. Zippers weren’t invented until 1918, so the movie is set in the 1700s. We don’t know if this is some type of clever stitching.
