THEN Denise Crosby started out in 1987 as Lieutenant Natasha “Tasha” Yar and was the chief security aboard the Starfleet starship USS Enterprise-D. They killed her character when she was ready to go. They wrote her back for a cool guest appearance in season 3.

NOW Denise Crosby appeared in Days of Our Lives before being cast on Star Trek. She has been a well-known actress since then. She has only done a handful of episodes for each series. You might remember her from The Walking Dead and Prison Break.

Crosby was married to Geoffrey Edwards in 1983, the son of Blake Edwards director. Although they divorced in 1990 Crosby was still able to see her father-in-law’s films, such as 10, Skin Deep, Trail of the Pink Panther, and Curse of the Pink Panther. She married Ken Sylk in 1995 and they had a son, August William Sylk.
