But we are getting carried away here. When Rosie arrived, volunteers at the shelter gave her the clear to be placed in a foster home. They needed to find someone who was very well experienced with stray dogs and could take on caring for Rosie and her imminent puppies.

And, thankfully they found just the right couple to do that. John and Katie Black had been rescuing puppies since 2006 and worked closely with many shelters around North Carolina to provide foster homes for over 20 puppies.
