Strahan became a dominant defensive force in the Giants’ defense over the next ten decades. He set an NFL single-season record of 22.5 tackles in 2001 after a 15-sack campaign.
Strahan’s professional career ended on high notes. After contemplating retirement, Strahan returned to the Giants in 2007 as a star veteran. Strahan and quarterback Eli Manning led the club’s first Super Bowl victory for nearly 20 years.
Although Strahan left football in the 1980s, widespread belief was that he would find a career in television. Strahan, upon his retirement, was hired as a FOX Sports football analyst.
Strahan appeared in the FOX sitcom Brothers in 2009. Strahan has then named a co-host on Live! Kelly.
